This article will walk you through updating your InkBook software to the latest available build of version 13 for customers that are already using version 13. If you are using an older version of InkBook, please click here for an article that will walk you though updating to version 13.

Check for Update Through InkBook

  1. Within the InkBook program, go to Help.

  2. Select Check for Update.

  3. Select Yes to have the program check for the new update for InkBook.

  4. Select Auto Update for the program to begin downloading the update.

  5. You will now receive a message stating that it is recommended to close down the program on any other computers that are also running InkBook. Press OK once you have closed the program on any other computers.

  6. Update will then begin downloading and the InkBook program will close.

  7. Once the InkBook installer has opened, press Next to begin.

  8. You will need to select I accept the terms in the license agreement and press Next.

  9. Select Next again.

  10. Press Install for the program to begin updating.

  11. The software will then take a moment to update the program. Once done select Finish to open the program.

  12. The software will then make a backup of your database and update the database itself. Do no turn off the computer or close the program at this point.

  13. Once the update to the database has completed, you program will be fully up to date.

Downloading the Update from the InkBook Website

  1. Make sure that InkBook is closed on the computer.

  2. Click here to begin the download for the update to InkBook.

  3. You then need to run the file that is downloaded to begin your update. This can very depending on the web browser you are using.

  • For Google Chrome, click on the InkBookUpdate.exe download file in the bottom left corner to run the install wizard.

  • For Firefox, in the top right corner click on the blue arrow that is pointing down. You can then click on the InkBookUpdate.exe file to run the install wizard.

  • For Microsoft Edge, click on the InkBookUpdate.exe download file in the bottom left corner to run the install wizard.

  1. Once the InkBook installer has opened, press Next to begin.

  2. You will need to select I accept the terms in the license agreement and press Next.

  3. Select Next again.

  4. Press Install for the program to begin updating.

  5. The software will then take a moment to update the program. Once done select Finish to open the program.

  7. Once the update to the database has completed, you program will be fully up to date.
