Select the Services button at the top of the page or Products and Services > Edit Services.
Along the left side of the screen, select Add Service and the Add Service dialog box will open.
Enter your Service ID. This ID is typically short hand or some sort of code that can signify what the service is.
Enter the Description for the service. This is typically the full name of the service. Note that this will show on the receipt for customers.
Enter the Price of the service.
To enter a different price for different employees, press Exceptions. If this doesn't apply to your business, than skip this step.
Press Add
Double click on the employee's name.
Enter the price for the service when performed by the specific employee.
Press OK.
Repeat steps for each employee with a special price.
In the Length of Time section, select whether the service is a multiple day service or a single day service.
If you selected Single Day Service, enter the Length of Time.
To enter a different time for a specific employee, press Exceptions
Press Add
Double click on the employee's name.
Enter the time for the service when performed by the specific employee.
Press OK.
Repeat steps for each employee with a special length of time
If the service has a processing and setup time, check the box for This service requires a processing time and enter the times for the Setup Time, Processing Time, and Finish Time.
In the Other section, you can select a category from the drop down list.
To add a category to the drop down list, press Edit.
Press Add.
Enter the category name.
Press OK.
You can then use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to adjust the category order. It is recommended to have (blank) at the top of the list.
Press OK to save the categories.
If you have sales taxes setup within the software, check the box for which taxes apply to this service.
Press Save to add the service to your program.
